This was an impulse buy for me. He was on eBay for $50, and I ////love//// Vegeta, so I just did it. I bought item/316557 for my boyfriend for our six month (he's more of a Goku man), so I already knew how nice these figures are. I loved Resurrection F (and he looks so fine with blue hair mmm) and the price was great so I don't regret my impulse this time!
Packaging (9/10)
These figures are quite small. He arrived in a cute little cardboard box packed with peanuts. Packing peanuts have kind of gone out of style, haven't they?
The Figuarts boxes are pretty cool looking. They're almost-squares and usually have a window that displays just the figure without a view of the parts. Mine's the English version, obviously, lol.
My only complaint is that they show him with the blue effect part, which isn't included. I fell for that one the first time when I ordered Goku (who is shown on the box with the yellow effect part), so I ordered it separately for $20. I'd have been much more upset if I hadn't ordered it a few weeks before the date!
also I accidentally stepped on the corner of my box and crushed it a bit ;~; As long as the figure's okay, I don't display boxes anyway.
Sculpting (9/10)
He's beautifully sculpted with very smooth parts.
I only wish he was a little bigger!
Here he is compared to figma and Nendoroid size. As you can see, he is slightly larger than Yukikaze. I know Vegeta is adorably short so that may be part of the reason.
Despite his size, he's still pretty impressive. Very awesome quality.
Painting (9/10)
Vegeta's hair is painted with a metallic blue paint, which is awesome. It's so shiny!
A few SSGSS figures make the blue a little too light, but I think they really nailed it on this one.
Wouldn't be a figure without a paint error!
Yep, a little paint chipping behind his ear. Kinda looks like when you paint your nails and when it dries you realize that you completely missed the side of one. This is fine, it's in a pretty unnoticeable place, and if that's the only mistake I'll take it!
Posing (8/10)
This is probably the most fun figure to pose that I own. He has good, versatile points of articulation that allow for almost any position you want!
He stands pretty easily on his own, but if you want to do extra fun poses like his bingo dance pose, you'll need the (sold separately!) stand.
Unfortunately, there's almost nothing in the way of accessories. But I knew that, that's just how Figuarts are. This way they get you to buy the extra effect parts lol
so sorry it's blurry ・゜・(ノД`)
A good amount of hand parts and four face plates! Wasn't expecting that, lately we're lucky if we even get three with Nendoroids.
He's got his standard serious face [not pictured], a smiling face with eyes looking to the side, a really angry, teeth-gritting face (feat. vein!), and an open mouth face. I'm really happy with these!
Just look at that vein......gorgeous.
Like I said, he's very easy and fun to pose. The hands give you a lot of options!
*swoon*
Just be careful swapping out the face plates, his hair is very pointy and it can dig into your fingers when trying to push the piece in.
Enjoyment (10/10)
This was a great purchase! Another figure that immediately landed on my favorites list. He's so cute and handsome with infinite posing options. Painting is great with a good choice of colors, and sculpting is fantastic. He's tons of fun to pose and his articulation allows for a wide range of choices. I highly recommend him to any DBZ fan, especially if you love Vegeta as much as I do (actually not possible). I'll definitely be purchasing the other varieties as soon as I can!
Thank you so much for reading! ♥(ˆ⌣ˆԅ)
