Fire crews responding to 2-alarm fire in Nampa

Fire crews responded to a 2-alarm structure fire in Nampa Friday evening.

The fire destroyed a house at the 3000 block of Sparks Avenue.

The Nampa Fire Department says the home is a total loss.

No injuries have been reported. Firefighters say the home is owned by an elderly couple who don't live there. There are reports that squatters may have been living in the home.

The fire department say two pets perished in the fire.

Firefighters say they are pretty sure they know how the fire was started and that it doesn't appear to have been intentional.
